Privacy policy

This policy explains how Cranberry Project Guide handles information submitted through the site.

Information we collect

Homeowner quote requests may include your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, project type, timing, project details, and the estimate shown by the calculator. Contractor applications and profile requests may include business and contact information, services, coverage area, requested corrections, and qualifications. Contact forms include the information you choose to submit.

Public business information

Invitation profiles may summarize business information already published by the contractor, such as its name, services, coverage area, and website. Business owners may request that this information be corrected or removed.

How we use it

We use submitted information to respond to requests, evaluate contractor partners, confirm profile ownership, improve the service, prevent abuse, maintain records, and connect homeowners with contractors.

Sharing with contractors

When you request local quotes, we may share the project and contact information you submitted with up to three contractors that may serve your project. Contractors are independent businesses and handle information under their own practices. We do not sell submitted information for unrelated marketing.

Retention and security

We retain records for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, address disputes, and meet legal obligations. No system can guarantee absolute security, but access to submitted records is restricted to the site owner.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information you submitted. A business owner may also claim, correct, or request removal of an invitation profile. Some records may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal or operational purposes.

DIY tools and shopping links

DIY planner inputs are not submitted as a lead. Selecting “Save plan here” stores quantities, budget inputs, and checklist progress in this browser’s local storage until you delete the saved copy or clear browser data. It does not save contact information or sync to another device. Printing a plan uses your browser. Following a shopping link takes you to Amazon, Home Depot, or Lowe’s, whose own privacy and cookie practices apply. If affiliate links are enabled, their tracking tag may allow qualifying purchases to be attributed to this site.
